My life is one that has been richly blessed by two sets of wonderful grandparents. The kind of grandparents that made me feel like they had been waiting all day just to see me, and now the day was complete.
Grandpas that told stories of another time; a time I could never imagine, but still loved to hear about, and gave the kind of hugs that lifted you off your feet.
Grandmas who played game, after game, after game of whatever I wanted to play until I was tired of playing, and cooked food so good that the only name for it was “Grandma’s Cooking.” No recipes; just a pinch of this, a little of that, and masterpieces were created.
I was then fortunate enough that I married into even more loving grandparents. A heart could burst with all the joy, and love that I have had in my life from so many wonderful grandparents.
The icing on the cake though, is seeing my parents and my in-laws be grandparents. Now my boys have the grandpas that tell the stories, and the grandmas that play the games. I only hope that when the day comes, many, many, many years from now, that Chase and I will be able to carry on the tradition of being amazing grandparents. We certainly have a long line of phenomenal examples to follow after.
