Halloween has come again. As many of you may know, it is one of the Nomad Boys’ favorite holidays. They love it and often plan their costume for the next year during or immediately right after the current Halloween. They have a blast and I love to celebrate it with them. This is Halloween 2016.
Last year we were in Connecticut. We had a great time and the neighborhood we visited really went all out. Because of how the houses were situated and how they looked, it made you feel like Michael Meyers was waiting just around the corner. This year we are in Idaho. And we even put a few decorations on the front of the house. Mama Nomad said it looked like a Murder House.
The neighborhood we visited did not have as much of the Halloween Thriller vibe. I think it was mainly due to the fact that all of the houses were more upscale, the streets were very well lit and there were hundreds of people, of all ages, lurking around. Although, we did see someone dressed as Michael Meyers, we still did not get the thriller vibe.
Nonetheless, some of the houses went all out with electronics, fog machines, graveyards and more. However, all of the homes, regardless of decoration level, were very courteous and many of them complemented the boys on their costumes. The boys had a great time and Mama Nomad and I had big fun walking around with them.
I would call Halloween 2016 a success. Safe Travels.
