I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! I am one of “THOSE” people that wants to go straight from Halloween decorations, to putting up my Christmas tree. It’s not that I don’t like Thanksgiving, but by the time Halloween is over, my fall decorations have been up since September, and frankly, I’m a little tired of them by then. I’m ready for something the new. Something green, and full of lights. I’m ready for Christmas.
This year is our first Nomad Christmas. I’m not going to sugarcoat it; it’s been a little rough on me. I love what we’re doing, and I wouldn’t change it. I’m happy we’re traveling, and I’m super excited to be spending Christmas in North Carolina. I am thankful for the little 4 foot tree that I’m able to bring along, and will decorate next week. I’m happy that we brought our stockings, and some lights to string around the house. We’ll make great memories, I know. It’s been great to be at my parents’ house, and have an early Christmas with them, and my Grandpa.
Fortunately for me, my mom is where I learned how to decorate for Christmas, and she does it BIG. I’ve been soaking up all the holiday cheer she has around her house, and that helps to ease the slight little ache I have over not being able to have, what I consider to be, my own traditional Christmas decor.
I put together a couple of collages for myself, and thought I’d share them with y’all. They’re pictures of different houses we’ve lived in before we went nomad, decorated at Christmas time. As well as some pictures of our “little” nomads over the years during the holiday season. Hope you enjoy.
