In May, The Nomads explored Harper’s Ferry and a segment of the Appalachian Trail. It was a great day with tons to see. All of that walking made us thirsty, which we brought water (as usual) to quench our thirst. We also built up quite an appetite.
Yelp is an app that we use quite a bit. We rely on the rating system for quality and price as well as the reviews and images to give us a better idea of the place. So, we fired up our Yelp app and got to researching.
Historic Harper’s Ferry did not have a high density of eateries, so the choices were narrowed by default. Upon reviewing the options, we landed on one called the Cannonball Restaurant. It is located at 148 High St in Harper’s Ferry. You will see the sign on the East side of the street (the right side when walking up the hill). The restaurant is located downstairs at the basement level.
The inside is not very big. If I had to estimate, it looks like it could seat about 20 people. It was nicely decorated with historical imagery on the walls. We were quickly seated and attended to. The service was fast and friendly. Within minutes we had waters at our table.
They have a variety of options for food that spans from Gyros and Subs to Hamburgers and Pizzas. We took advantage of the variety of offerings they had. I had the Gyro and it was delicious. The rest of the family really enjoyed their selections as well. After we finished, we topped things off with ice cream and shakes. By the time we were finished, we were sufficiently stuffed.
Quality of Food: 4 | Service: 5 | Price: 4 | Overall Value: 4
The atmosphere was cute and quaint. The service was fast and friendly. The selection of food was a good variety and the price was reasonable. If you are in Historic Harper’s Ferry, take a load off and visit this little establishment. They’ll treat you right. Safe Travels.
